Brewtique was established in early 2003 by Mike Spencer.  Mike is one of Australia’s most experienced brewing specialists.  After obtaining a Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) from Sydney University and five years managing bars and hotels, he entered the beer industry via a 17-year career with Carlton and United Breweries (Fosters).  At Fosters, Mike’s roles included Head Brewer, Packaging Manager, Operations Manager, Manager QA/QC and National Manager Draught Beer Services.

The other Director of Brewtique is Mel Miles.  Mel’s brewing experience included roles with the Foster’s Group as Vice President of the Beer Business (CUB), VP Operations/Production Director and Superintending Brewer – International.  He was also a director of  CUB and its subsidiary companies for 12 years and former chairman of South Pacific Distilleries (a subsidiary of Carlton Brewery Fiji Limited).
 
Together, the directors of Brewtique have over 60 years of senior management experience in the Brewing and associated industries.
