Sizing the Brewery
Before considering equipment, think about:
- How much beer you will want to produce in the first year
- Your long-term volume targets
- How many brews per day you want to do
- The cost of your labour
The answers are vital for working out the size of the brewhouse and utilities (steam generation / distribution, refrigeration, compressed air, utility water, CO2, electricity).
It also influences the type and speed of the packaging operation (bottling and keg racking).
